The seven-time Wimbledon winner posted a video on his YouTube page showing him playing tennis with coach Stephen Edberg while wearing the Glass. The video is a mix of cameramen capturing Federer and his opponent playing the game and actual footage recorded by Glass. Wearable gadgets are the next big ‘thing’ everyone is eyeing. Even Sony announced one during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January. The SmartBand SWR10 focuses on tracking fitness and health along with many other features. Sony has announced the launch of this fitness band for Rs 5,990 and will be available in the country in third week of May. Initially, it will be coming free (limited period) with the purchase of Sony’s flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z2. Compatible with all Android smartphones running Android 4.4, the Sony SmartBand pairs of Bluetooth 4.0 low energy. One needs to pair it with the phone using the ‘Lifelog’ app that stores all the data. Other than tracking the fitness and health of the user, it also monitors the sleep levels, comes with vibration wake-up alarm, vibrates for notification and even handle media files and playback. The interface of the app is neat and isn’t much complicated to use. Initially, Sony will be shipping the SmartBand with two black bands – small and large. Charge your smartphone in 30 seconds says StoreDot

Whatever the battery capacity may be, smartphones today fails to last a day. Putting end to such woes is StoreDot Ltd., a Tel-Aviv based start-up, who hopes to speed up the charging process. Today, the company unveiled a battery-charging prototype that can charge a smartphone’s nearly dead battery to 100% in less than 30 seconds. The prototype was showcased on the Samsung Galaxy S4 and was unveiled at Microsoft Think Next conference in Tel Aviv.
