Xiamo Mi band 4 might launch soon, gets bluetooth certification

Xiaomi is known for a variety of its products, including air purifiers, earphones, fitness watches etc. Xiaomi has a lineup of its fitness bands in India. Last year, Xiaomi even came up with the mi band 3 in India. It was sold for RS 1999. Now Xiaomi seems to be ready for a launch of its next band. The announcement made in Xiaomi quarterly earning call suggests that the band will launch soon. He is believed to said “For Mi Band 4, it’s going to be in this year. It will be in 2019. But I’m not sure, it’s going to be in March and April. But, it is going to be in this year,” However now the date seems nearby because the wearable has recently been certified by the bluetooth special interest group. The Mi band 4 variant certified by the bluetooth SIG happens to be XMSH08HM. Also the upcoming fitness tracker will be available with NFC support in certain markets. The blueooth certification also confirms the support for the bluetooth 5.0 low energy standard. This means that Mi band 4 will be a decent upgrade since the current mi band 3 supports bluetooth 4.2 lowenergy. There haven’t been any other significant details revealed by the SIG. One can’t tell much about what to expect out of the band right now. The specifications and the features are much speculated. However, there will definitely be some new features like there have been previously. The expectations are certainly high considering the previous band was much appreciated by the users. Cui said “Each generation we learn something, we always do better. And Mi Band 3, we — you can take a look at 2018’s volume, right. So it’s really much better as compared to the previous version. So we expect Mi Band 4 will be similar – will have a similar trend. So once we launch Mi Band 4, we expect that product will sell well,” There haven’t been any details confirmed by far but with the bluetooth certification, the band will surely launch this year. There still aren’t any confirmations about the price, the design, color or specifications. However it is expected to be better than the current Mi band 3. The Mi band 3 was unveiled on May 31 in China. This was brought in India in September and was priced Rs 1999. It had Oled display, 5atm water resistance etc at the...
